Admissions
We are a friendly village school, with a real family feel, holding high aspirations for all our children.
We always encourage parents to visit us to observe the school in action as well as talk to our Head of School and friendly staff to see if our school is the right place for your child.
Contact admin@boddingtonschool.org or phone 01327 260120 to book a visit.
Children who live within the Boddington catchment area (the villages of Upper and Lower Boddington and surrounds) and who apply within the stated time frame are given priority, however children who live outside our catchment area are always considered and have previously successfully requested admission. Our published admissions number is 10 although we can sometimes take more depending on the numbers of children in other Year groups.
West Northamptonshire County Council deals with our admissions. Please visit their page to apply for your child's place.

Detailed information on admissions is available from the County Council.
Once places have been offered and accepted, parents and children are invited into school in the summer term for welcome meetings and a series of visits.
In order to reflect the Local Education Authority’s guidance and to ensure a calm and purposeful start to their school career, it is an option for parents to phase children into their reception year with half days. This is an arrangement that can be discussed on a need basis with the school. If you feel that your child does not need to have a phased start, we also offer full time schooling from the first day of term.
The deadline date for admission is 15th January 2025.
Parents/guardians are encouraged to apply online and read the online prospectus - Applying for a Primary School Place in West Northamptonshire 2024-25. This provides detailed information on schools and the application process.
Paper application forms are available if a parent/guardian does not have access to the internet. They can be requested from us directly, or we can also send an electronic copy to schools on request to be printed out for the parent. If parents return the forms directly to the school, can you please send these to us by the closing date, marked for the attention of the school admissions team. We are happy to receive them scanned and emailed, or alternatively posted to our offices – the address details are shown at the bottom of this email. Please date stamp them where possible as this will evidence the date the application was submitted.
Please note that parents/carers of children who have an EHC Plan are not required to complete an application form. The Education, Health and Care team will consult parents / carers directly to establish which the parent’s preferred school is. Consultation will then follow with the parent’s preferred school and the outcome will be communicated to parents by 15 February 2025. Any queries or concerns regarding pupils with an EHC Plan should be addressed to the EHC team: EHCDav.NCC@westnorthants.gov.uk
